The QCARC placed ninth overall in its class in 2003 - can you believe that? Ninth overall in the United States and Canada no less. In the past we operated in the "A" Class as 2A WPA, which means we had two transceivers in the "A" class operating from Western PA. This year we decided to operate in the ARRL's new "F" Class as 2F WPA. In all honesty, it would seem that we only did as well as we did because there weren't that many groups operating in this class. Nevertheless, we'll enjoy our high standing for the year.
This was our CW station for 2003. In the front row (left to right) is Joe Bitner, N3IES, and Ed Morrison, K3JE. In the back row is Mike Errigo, WB3EQW and Mel Smith, Larwrence Township Supervisor. Of course we had a phone station too, and I'm in the process of trying to locate some more pictures of this. If anyone has any, please let me know. |
